Postal Art Trinidad & Tobago

Postal Art Trinidad & Tobago, is a mail-art project where people from any corner of the globe and locally are invited to create a postcard and mail it, with the purpose of sharing and communicating through art by sending it to the following address (link).

The topic of this project is "Self-portrait", endeavours to glimpse your ideas of what you reflect, how you want to be seen, remembered, the traits that define you from a personal point of view. All the postcards collected will be set for an exhibition at Bohemia on March of 2012, to share what people have been sending over the past seven months.

It will be the first time a mail-art exhibition will be held in Trinidad. Furthermore, 2012 will be the 50 Year anniversary of founding Ray Johnson's  New York Correspondance School (a broad mail-art network). We see it as a good opportunity  to introduce this type of communication to Trinidadians as it  has been happening over the past 50 years. Therefore, we want to invite the artists and non-artists alike, (no age limit) to participate.
